The IMU+™ Technology

SELF-DISINFECTION

Once bacteria or coronaviruses touch the surface of the IMU+™ material, their cell walls or envelopes are physically ruptured instantaneously. These pathogens are being killed. Even if the material surface is worn off, the antimicrobial agents in subsequent layers are still able to maintain the function.

LONG-LASTING PERFORMANCE

An accelerated aging sample for 1-year kills over 90% viruses within 10 minutes. An accelerated aging sample for 3-year is still able to kill 84.3% viruses within 10 minutes. (standard test: ISO 21702: 2019 against human coronavirus 229E)

CAN BE MIXED WITH POLYMERS

IMU+™ are developed by 3D printing. And now, our in-house advanced formulations are capable of mixing with different types of polymers, such as polypropylene (PP), low density polyethylene (LDPE), high density polyethylene (HDPE) and silicone rubber to produce antimicrobial plastic products.
